Publication Ethics

IJMEA is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, ensuring the dissemination of original work that enriches the intellectual community with the utmost quality and integrity. We hold our reviewers and authors to the same exacting standards, emphasizing honesty, originality, and transparent communication from authors, and fairness, objectivity, and confidentiality from editors and reviewers. These values are paramount in achieving our mission.

Aligned with our commitment to ethical publishing, we endorse and adhere to the code of conduct and international standards set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere strictly to these established ethical guidelines. Below is a summary outlining our core expectations of editors, review partners, and authors.

Author Responsibilities

Reporting Standards
Authors should report their research results, honestly, and without inappropriate manipulation of data. Methodological details and references should be provided sufficiently to allow replication of the work.

Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must adhere to the publication requirement that the work submitted is original, non-plagiarized, and has not been previously published. Use of works or words from other sources must be properly cited.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors are not permitted to publish substantially the same work in more than one journal or primary publication. Simultaneous submission of the same work to multiple journals is considered unethical.

Acknowledgment of Sources
All sources of funding for the reported research must be disclosed by all authors.

Authorship of the Work
Authors should ensure that only those who made significant contributions are listed as authors. Others who made contributions should be acknowledged.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could affect the results or interpretation of their work. All sources of financial support must be disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Work
If an author discovers a significant error in their published work, they should notify the editor immediately and work together to correct or retract the work.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Peer Review Policy
Each paper will be reviewed first by the editor, and if suitable for publication, it will be reviewed by two reviewers on a double-blind basis. The publication decision will depend on the recommendation of the Board of Editors.

Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and help authors in improving the quality of the work.

Timeliness
Reviewers who are unable to meet review deadlines or feel unable to assess manuscripts quickly are expected to notify the editor and resign.

Confidentiality
Reviewers must keep the manuscripts they review confidential and not disclose them to other parties without the editor's permission.

Objectivity Standard
Reviewers should present their views objectively and supported by clear arguments. Criticism should focus on the work, not the author.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant works not cited by the authors. They should also inform the editor of any substantial similarities between the manuscript they are reviewing and other published works.

Responsibilities of the Editor

Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, except to interested parties such as authors, reviewers, and publishers.

Editorial Fairness and Independence
Editors are responsible for determining which articles to publish based on their academic quality and relevance to the journal, regardless of personal or institutional factors of the authors.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Information obtained from manuscripts under review should not be used without the author's consent.

Involvement in Investigations
Editors must maintain the integrity of published records and take claims of misconduct seriously.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
The Editorial Board must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript. They may discuss with other editors or reviewers in making decisions.

However, all conflicts of interest must be disclosed. The Editorial Board is responsible for publication decisions. All articles in this journal are open-access and freely available online and can be downloaded, shared, and reused.
